Abstract
In order to implement the spirit of the Ministry's notice on the implementation of the 2009 Fisheries Safety Production Year Activity Work Plan, and to strengthen the supervision and management of manufacturers of life-saving, fire-fighting, and other ship safety products, on July 2, Director Liu Kewan of the Provincial Fisheries Vessel Inspection Bureau visited Yantai Huayang Lifesaving Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. to inspect and guide the work.
Director Liu Kewan first visited and learned about the factory facilities, production processes, and quality management system of Yantai Huayang Lifesaving Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. He conducted on-site sampling inspections of the inflatable life rafts for fishing vessels that the company is currently producing, and held discussions with company leaders and experts regarding the company's status and development. Director Liu praised the recent progress and achievements of the company, especially for its work in completing the provision of policy-subsidized life rafts for the year 2008 in Shandong Province, which not only ensured the quality of product manufacturing but also reflected the company's awareness of serving fisheries safety production without focusing on profits. He also fully recognized the timely installation and service work. He encouraged the company to recognize its shortcomings, to continuously increase investment in equipment and technological improvements, to develop new products, and to increase financial investment to expand the scale of the enterprise, enhance its quality, and improve product competitiveness. At the same time, it is essential to strengthen enterprise management to ensure product quality, not only to produce "qualified products" but also to produce "fine products," better safeguarding fisheries safety production and the life safety of fishermen.
